Freemasonry - The Grand Lodge of Israel was constituted on October 20, 1953
The Grand Lodge of Israel was constituted on October 20, 1953 by the Grand Lodge of Scotland. The Craft originally came to the area with the French. Then, during the construction of the Suez Canal, Scottish Freemasonry came to the Holy Land.
Prior to the constitution of the Grand Lodge, many jurisdictions had Lodges in the area. When the new Grand Lodge formed, warrants were reissued and the constituent Lodges officially joined together in their new Grand Lodge. Shown here is regalia from the Grand Lodge of Israel.
