Every so often, this portrait of a stately gentleman wearing, shall we say, a lot of Masonic regalia, makes its rounds on social media.
The man depicted is Henry James Fitzroy, the Earl of Euston. Bro. Fitzroy served as the Provincial Grand Master of Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire from 1887 to 1912.
Bro. Fitzroy was set to inherit the title of Duke of Grafton, but he died before his father, passing the title to his younger brother.
Eutson Lodge No. 2283, part of the United Grand Lodge of England, takes it name from Bro. Fitzroy.
